Urban Outfitters is selling Mitt Romney t-shirts. In case you needed another reason to never go there. Ever.

    seriously?

    fuck this noise

URBAN OUTFITTERS IS JUST GETTING MORE OPENLY CONSERVATIVE BY THE YEAR I LOVE IT

    pisses self

urban outfitters is full of shit

This is unsurprising when you think about all the anti-gay and transphobic bullshit they’ve sold (ex: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/2012/03/19/urban-outfitters-tranny-greeting-card_n_1364589.html) and the owners open love for Rick Santorum.

Not Fox News but I’ve been seeing this post all day, and it bothers me because no one has done a basic contextual search but instead just relies on the idea that Urban Outfitters sucks anyway for lots of other reasons. Yes, UO has major problems and there are plenty of reasons not to shop there, but they also have an line of Obama shirts (the same number of Obama shirts). This I discovered by simply visiting the website and typing “Obama” into the search bar.”

UO makes bad bad choices and sells insanely offensive things (i.e, transphobic slogans and “navajo” prints) but it’s just as shitty to try and make something out of political nothing on the internet like this. Seriously why does this post have 2k notes? #end rant

I’m no fan of the Rominee (thanks be to mr. stewart for that one) myself, but I must agree, mostrecentrebloggerreallyfoxnews. this is definitely blown out of proportion. People have every right to sell/buy t-shirts about him. Try not to get carried away there, my fellow internet-dwelling liberals. This is T-SHIRTS, and rather inoffensive ones at that. I generally appreciate the tumblr outrage I find on my dash, but sometimes I think we tumblrers are addicted to mutual outrage, even when not very well founded.

Karen Gillan wants to be on Inspector Spacetime

    bbcamerica:

We dropped by the Doctor Who studio in Cardiff just before The Ponds wrapped on their final episodes to talk with Karen Gillan about Community’s (NBC) Doctor Who-spoof “Inspector Spacetime”.

It turns out she’s a huge fan of both the sitcom and the show within the sitcom. #AmyMeetsAbed

Let’s do this, Tumblr (reblog and tweet with the hashtag #AmyMeetsAbed.)

Missouri Advances ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill
Just two days after Tennessee advanced its infamous ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, the state of Missouri referred to committee a measure that would eliminate discussions of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in public schools, prohibit teachers from addressing bullying based on sexual orientation, and likely ban gay-straight alliances.
HB 2051 states:

170.370. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, no instruction, material, or extracurricular activity sponsored by a public school that discusses sexual orientation other than in scientific instruction concerning human reproduction shall be provided in any public school.

The bill is sponsored by Rep. Stanley Cookson (R) and has attracted 19 GOP co-sponsors, “including the two most powerful leaders in the House, Speaker Steve Tilley and Majority Leader Tim Jones (yes, the same Tim Jones who is a plaintiff in Orly Taitz’ birther lawsuits).”
PROMO, Missouri’s LGBT equality organization, describes its advancement as “a desperate tactic by frightened, bigoted, cynical individuals who are terrified at the advancement the LGBT community has made in breaking down the barriers to full and equal treatment under the law.”

How could something like this even come into being? …has every copy of the Constitution just mysteriously floated into the sea? I am simply disgusted. If this sort of legislation comes anywhere near anywhere I can do something about it I will be up in (metaphorical) arms. despicable.
